Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation Grant Awarded

The Citizens’ Hose Company No. 1 Inc. of Smyrna, is pleased to announce that we have received a grant from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation. The grant, valued at $35,959, is for the purchase of a complete set of Hurst EDraulics extrication equipment.  This equipment represents the latest in extrication tool technology, and is intended to help firefighters and EMS providers remove people entrapped faster, and provide those victims with better survival opportunities!

A media event is scheduled for Friday, December 14, at 11:00 a.m. at the Citizens’ Hose Co. No. 1 firehouse located at 103 W Commerce St, Smyrna, DE. Members of the volunteer fire company will be hosting several franchisees and members of the Firehouse Subs team, local dignitaries, and the interested media. The fire company will be catering lunch from Firehouse Subs, as we try to contribute to the Foundation that has contributed to us.

The fire company will also have the new equipment on display, and a demonstration the Hurst Edraulics technology will be held during the event.
