Car Fire with Exposure - DuPont Parkway & Duck Creek Rd,

At 1030 the CHC was alerted for a vehicle fire in the area of Duck Creek Rd. & DuPont Parkway. E44-4 under command of 44-22(Torres) responded quickly followed shortly by E44-3 and 44-0. Upon arrival crews found a small SUV fully involved up against a vacant gas station with flames impinging on the structure. Crews pulled two 1 1/2" handlines and began attacking the fire, quickly knocking down the fire and stopping any progression into the building. Upon arrival of 44-3, E-3 supplied E4 with water and the crews assisted with suppresion efforts. 44-0 arrived shortly after and assisted with overhaul and clean-up. Crews remained on scene wetting down the vehicle for several more minutes before wrapping up and returning to quarters. Lt. Tyler Torres had command.
