Saturday, March 24, 2018
Yesterday evening we had our inaugural Kickin’ It Loose Country Music Concert featuring the Jones Boys (Seaford, DE), The John Loring Band (Houston, TX) & The Scooter Brown Band (Nashville, TN) which was a massive success! Along with our top notch bands, Mid South Audio (Georgetown, DE) had all our artists sounding fantastic and looking great with the lights & sounds.
We are so appreciative for the following sponsors who helped up make our event a success: Willis Chevrolet/Buick, Willis Ford, Friends of Rick McTheny, Legacy Farms, Pratt Insurance, Sayers Jewelers & Gemologists, Peninsula Acoustical Co Inc., Ronny’s Garden World, Crawford Financial, Mathews Bryson Funeral Home, Delaware Municipal Electric Corporation (DEMAC), Mid Atlantic Scientific, PHB Home Builders, Atlantic Apothecary, Thorn Electric, Wattay Accounting, Weavers Sanitation, JPM Contracting, B&B Construction, Local Police & Firemen, The Painted Stave, Delaware Sign Shop, Expanding Our Kids World, Advantec, Fletchers Plumbing, Solloways, Barry & Sherri Hudson & Mimesis Signs. We also thank Gene Shaner for photographing the event, the Harrington Fire Company (Station 50) & Hartly Fire Company (Station 51) for helping keep our town safe during the event. And lastly, Lower Slower Cue who provided phenomenal BBQ to all our hungry patrons!
Congratulations to Robin Bruner for winning FireFly Tickets that benefited the Town of Smyrna’s 250th celebration. We also congratulate and thank Jeff Orr who won the autographed guitar signed by all bands who participated in our inaugural Kickin’ It Loose Concert Event. Jeff was gracious enough to donate the guitar back to our company so that we can display it proudly and encase it in our archives as a memorial to our event.
This event will be the first of many for the Citizens’ Hose Company. Our goal is to continue to bring top notch national talent to our town in an effort to raise funds for our fire company for future endeavors.
