Automobile Fire - 249 E Commerce Street

At 1716 station 44 was alerted for a reported car fire in the 200 Block of E. Commerce St. E44-4 under command of Capt. Isaac J. Hankins responded quickly with a crew of 6. The crew found a large sedan with the engine compartment involved, beginning to extend into the interior. Crews quickly knocked down the fire with a 1 1/2' foam line, and booster line. Crews from R-44 assisted with extinguishment and traffic control. Crews were in service for 32 minutes, and 32 members respond. Units responding: E44-4, R44, and 44-0 OIC was Capt. Isaac J. Hankins
