E44-2 under command of Chief Embert responded at 1836 and was on scene at 1838. Chief Embert reported heavy smoke showing from the front. Crews from E-2 advanced two 1 3/4" handlines into the structure. While crews were attacking the fire, the crew from L-44 threw ground ladders, and began ventilating the roof and windows. E44-3 laid in from a nearby hydrant and supplied E-2. Rescue 44's crew assisted with shutting off the utilities, ventilation, and extinguishment. OIC was Chief John Embert.
