MVC - Motorcycle - N, Main St. @ Duck Creek Parkway

At 2230 CHC units along with 64, & KM6 were dispatched to a motorcycle MVC at the above area. E44-4 responded quickly under command of 44-17(Hankins) and arrived to find a EMS crews working on the operator of the motorcycle who sustained serious injuries after losing control of the bike at very high speeds, and then going off into the woods and hitting some trees. The crew from 44-4 assisted EMS crews with packaging the pt and clearing debris from the scene. The pt was transported to KGH by 64 & KM6. 44-17 placed the scene under control at 2243 and all units were back in quarters at 2256. Crews were in service for 26 minutes, and 39 members responded to assist. OIC was 2nd Asst. Chief Isaac J. Hankins. Units responding: E44-4, R44, 44-10, A-64, KM6, KM5, T-4, DSP, SPD, CPD, and Del Dot. The accident was the result of a police chase coming out of New Castle County when the rider lost control on the curve at a extremely high rate of speed. See speedometer picture below.
