Passing of Alberta Morris - Smyrna, DE

The Citizens' Hose Company and Auxiliary regret to announce the passing of Auxiliary charter member Alberta Morris. Alberta served for many years as the President of the Auxiliary. She was also a Past President of the Kent County Ladies Auxiliary, Past President of the Delmarva Ladies Auxiliary, and a President Emeritus of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Delaware Volunteer Firefighter's Association. She served on numerous committees throughout the region. She was an honorary member of Bowers Fire Company, Dover Fire Department, and served as "Mom" to many of the recruit classes of the Wilmington Fire Department during their time at the Delaware State Fire School. Arrangements are being handled by Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home in Smyrna. A viewing is scheduled from 7:00pm-9:00pm on Thursday, August 5, 2010 followed by funeral services at 11:00am on Friday, August 6th.
