Fully involved detatched garage/barn - 801 W. Mount Vernon St.

At 2128 the CHC was dispatched along with Ambulance 64 for a shed fire at 801 W. Mount Vernon ST. 44-2 responded within minutes under command of 44-17(Jarrell) followed by Ladder, 44-3, 44-4, Rescue, and 44-10. On arrival crews found a small garage fully involved within a small wooded area next to the address house also on fire. The crew from E-2 pulled two lines from the truck and started attacking the fire, while 44-3 layed in from a nearby hydrant to supply 44-2. During the fire attack crews were told that a male subject was living in the garage and may still possibly be inside. The crew from L44 did a quick search with negavite results. Crews remained on scene for another hour or so performing extensive overhaul. The subject who was living in the garage was later located by SPD and was not home at the time of fire. The CHC had 6 units & 46 men in service for 1 hour & 41 minutes. We were assisted by B64, FM13 and FM14 - Officer in charge: 2nd Asst. Chief Brian C. Jarrell
