Tanker Company Assist - Raymond Neck Road
Tuesday, February 18, 2014

At 2121, CHC was dispatch for the Tanker Company to assist Station 53 (Leipsic) on a working barn fire. With crews in station, Tanker 44, 44-3 and Rescue 44 made the response within minutes. First arriving units found a 60' x 100' pole barn fully involved with the roof collapsed and a exposures to a residence in front of it and a 10,000 lbs. propane tank behind the barn. Tanker 44 was directed to supply 53-5 and setup the water supply as the crews from 44-3 and Rescue 44 helped place lines in service from Leipsic trucks to attack the fire. Crews started to pull the sides of the barn off to help get to the bulk of the fire in the middle of the structure. Once the bulk of the fire was knocked, Command placed the scene under control with units working. Crews stayed on scene for another hour and a half hitting hot spots. The last 44 unit was back in station at 2330. 44's OIC was 44-22(Lt. Hufford). 54-15 (Bundek) had the Raymond Neck Rd Command.
