Vehicle Fire - Arctic Lane / Greensbranch Lane

At 0811, the CHC was dispatched for a vehicle fire. Engine 4 responded within minutes, under the command of 44-23 (Torres). While en route, Kent Center advised that a trash was on fire and had dumped its load. Upon arrival, Engine 4 found a pile of trash on fire in the road way, with minor extension into the trash truck. Crews quickly placed one 1-1/2" line in service and utilized the booster line to control the trash fire. The Town of Smyrna was requested to the scene. A backhoe was used to spread out the trash to help suppression methods and then hauled away in dump trucks. Units Responding: 44-4, Rescue 44, 44 Fire Police, Town of Smyrna Public Works
