MVC - 5600 Block of South DuPont Parkway

At 1704 the CHC was dispatched to a reported MVC with subject not alert in the area of Stover Plaza on Rt. 13. Engine 44-4 under command of 44-16(Jarrell) responded quickly, followed shortly by R44 & 44-0. Upon arrival crews found a vehicle with heavy front end damage after rear-ending a tractor trailer. EMS crew were on-scene already assessing the driver of the car. The crew of 44-4 was assigned to assist EMS crews and secure the vehicle. R44 arrived and was assigned to help clean the roadway and assist 44-4's crew. The driver was removed from the car and taken to A-64 for treatment. ALS decided to fly the pt to CER. 44-0 was assigned to assist with traffic and LZ. Once T-4 was on the ground the pt was loaded and subsequently flown to CER. 44-16 placed the scene under control and all 44 units cleared, turning over the scene to DSP. Units responding: E44-4, R44, 44-0, A-64, KM-6, DSP T-4, SPD, DSP, DelDot, & 44 Fire Police.
