Tanker Company Assist Station 26 with Garage Fire - 824 Union Church Rd., Townsend

At 0456 hours, Tanker Company 44 and Engine 45 were dispatched to assist Station 26 with a garage fire. 44-3 under the command of 44-23(S.Long) made the response with a full crew followed by Tanker 44. Engine 44-3 and Tanker 44 arrived on scene to find Station 26 along with Stations 24, 1 and 27 already on scene operating on a working garage fire. Tanker 44 was instructed by Deputy 24 to come to the scene and supply Tanker 24. The Crew from Engine 44-3 was utilized to assisted with suppression efforts. Engine 44-3 also supplied Tanker 44 along with Rescue 1-6 and Engine 29-6. 44-3 along with 1-6 completed a water shuttle as well. The Engine and Tanker continued to operate until released by Command. Both 44 units were back in quarters at 0728hrs. Lt. Steve Long was OIC of 44 units. Townsend Fire Chief Rickie Clark Jr. had Townsend Command.
