Ladder & Rescue Co. assist 45 on working barn fire - 2049 Alley Corner Road, Clayton

At 1000 hrs, Station 45, Ladder and Rescue Company 44, RIT 51, Ambulance 64 And KM-9 were dispatched for a reported working barn fire. Ladder 44 made the response under command of Firefighter Jonathan Rutledge and a crew of 5, shortly followed by 44-3 and Rescue 44. Command 45 arrived on scene, just behind Engine 45-3 to find a 40x40, 2 story barn with fire showing. 45-3 made the split lay up the driveway with Quint 45 completing the lay. Ladder 44 arrived on scene and was instructed to the scene and assumed the truck company assignment. 44-3 was instructed to supply the scene with a nearby hydrant but was then advised to back down the driveway. Just prior to Rescue 44 arriving on scene, the situation was placed under control. Fire Chief Skip Carrow had Alley Corner Road Command. Station 44 units responding: Ladder 44, Engine 44-3, Rescue 44.
