Monday, March 25, 2013

Local farmer Raymond Stachecki of Smyrna has $2500 donated in his name to the Citizens' Hose Company of Smyrna. The money which Mr Stachecki had donated was made possible through the America's Farmers Grow Communities Program funded by the Monsanto Company. Mr Stachecki enrolled in the program to donate the funds to a nonprofit organization in his county which he feels strengthens his community. Mr. Stachecki was chosen as a winner and in turn chose both the CHC and the Milford Food Bank. District Sales Manager of the Northeast Team, Brick Veirs, of the Monsanto Company made the $2,500 donations to the Citizens' Hose Company of Smyrna, and the Milford Food Bank. The presentations were made at the Citizens' Hose Company Firehouse. The Citizens' Hose Company would like to thank both Mr. Stachecki and the Monsanto Company for the donation. The funds will go to help aid in the operating expenses of the fire company.
