Brush and Ranger Assist Sta. 26 on woods fire - 500 Blackbird Landing Rd, Townsend

At 1739 the CHC was dispatched to assist Sta. 26(Townsend) with a fieldpiece on a woods and brush fire. 44-0 under command of 44-23(Neeld) responded within minutes. While responding 44-23 advised command that Ranger 44 was available to respond, and it was also sent. Both units arrived shortly after and were both placed into service in the woods. The Ranger was used to make numerous trips throught the heavily wooded area to extinguish the fire. Crews from both 44-0 and Ranger 44 utilized forestry tools, indian tanks, and saws to help with suppression. Crews remained on scene for just over an hour. Crews were cleared by 26 command and returned. Units responding: Brush 44-0, 44-10 with Ranger 44 CHC units were under command of Lt. Eric Neeld.
