Ladder Company Assist Sta. 45 - Trailer Fire - 1943 Mt. Friendship Rd., Clayton DE

At 1536 the CHC was alerted to assist Sta. 45 with a Ladder Company on a reported working mobile home fire. Ladder 44 responded shortly after under command of Past Chief Parsell, followed by E44-4 under command of Asst. Chief Neeld. While units were en-route Command 45 arrived and confirmed a working alarm with heavy smoke showing from a double wide trailer. Both units were advised to stage and send their crews up to the scene. The crew from Ladder 44 assisted with conducting searches, securing the utilities, and placing ground ladders on the C & D sides of the structure. The crew from E4 assisted with overhaul to the exterior portions of the trailer and assisting with removing some of the belongings of the house to the yard. All crews then assisted with helping to pack and rack house prior to clearing the scene and returning to quarters. 45-15, Chief Davis had the Clayton Command. 44 units responding: Ladder 44 & E44-4.
