Ladder Co. Asst. Sta. 1/27 on Working House Fire - 142 Westside Lane, Westside Hunt, Middletown DE

At 1557 hrs, Ladder Company 44 was dispatched to assist New Castle County Stations 1/27 on a working residential fire on Westside Lane in the Westside Hunt development. Ladder 44 made the response under the command of 44-18(E.Pierson Jr) and followed shortly by Engine 44-3. 44 units arrived on scene to find the first alarm assignment on scene of a large two story residential dwelling, with crews actively in fire suppression mode. Crews were utilized to throw ground ladders and other tasks on the fire ground. The scene was placed under control by Command and Ladder Co. 44 then returned. While returning, 44-3 was requested to redirect to Engine cover New Castle County Station 24(Odessa's Main station). OIC of the Ladder Company response was 44-18 Capt. Easley Pierson Jr. OIC of the Engine cover up was Past Chief Brooks Keen. Middletown Command was Deputy 27 Shawn Mullens. 44 units responding were Ladder 44 & Engine 44-3.
