Mock MVC Drill with Smyrna PD. - Smyrna High School

At 1230 hrs, Crews for Engine 44-4 and Rescue 44 loaded up and made the trip to Smyrna High School to Assist Smyrna PD with a Mock MVC Drill. Smyrna PD was hosting the drill to show there junior explorer program the different areas of emergency Services. Joining Station 44 was ambulance 64. Crews operated for approximately 2 hours going over the different aspects of going through a vehicle extrication while ambulance 64 went over patient care. Crews from the engine and rescue performed door removals and a roof removal. The Members and Officers would like to thank Smyrna Police Dept for the invite and we are looking forward to next year. While Crews were waiting for the drill to start. Station 44 was dispatched for a residential Structure fire. 44-4 made the response from the High School under the command of 44-19(E.Neeld) with a crew of 7. Kent Center advised that the RP was advising possible oven fire. Ladder 44 also made the response. 44-4 arrived on scene to find single story residential dwelling with nothing evident. Crews investigated and found a faulty exhaust fan. Scene was placed under control and 44-4 returned for the Drill.
