MVC-multiple injuries - Rt. 13 & Brenford Rd.

At 1356 CHC units along with Amb. 64, & 43 were dispatched for a MVC at the above location. CHC crews were already on the road from a wires down call, and responded immediately. E44-4 under command of 44-16(Willis) arrived to find a 2 vehicle MVC with 4 subjects complaining of injuries. A-26 was added as the third BLS unit. Crews from E4 & R44 assisted EMS crews with pt care and immobilization. After all pts were transported crews from all 3 units assisted with cleaning the roadway. All 4 patients were transported to KGH by BLS. 44-16 placed the scene under control at 1433, and all units were back in quarters at 1531. CHC units were in service for 1 hour and 35 minutes, and had 56 members respond for the two simultaneous alarms. OIC was 1st Asst. Chief Isaac J. Willis. Units responding:E44-4, R44, 44-10, B64, B43, A26, DSP, & Del Dot. Crews also handled the call for the wires down at the same time in front of the Smyrna Rest Area, and Lt. Dwayne Newnam had command of that incident with E44-3.
