MVC with multiple subjects trapped - DuPont Pkwy @ Frenchmans Branch Dr.

At 2031 CHC units along with A&B 64, KM6, & T4 were dispatched to a MVC with subjects reported trapped on Rt. 13 in front of Pinnacle Rehab Center. E44-4 responded within 3 minutes under command of Past Chief Greg Parsell, shortly followed by E44-2 under command of Lt. James. R44 also made the response from the area of DSFS in Dover after just completing training. EMS units arrived first and advised of a 3 vehicle MVC with at least 3 subjects trapped. E44-4 arrived at 2041 and began the stabilization and extrication of the subject heavilty trapped in the white pick-up, and E44-2 arrived and began stabilization and extrication on the subjects in the car. R44 arrived shortly after and its crew quickly assisted with extrication of the subjects in the car. Once both doors were able to be removed, R44 repositioned to assist E4 with extrication of the pick-up driver. The crew from E44-2 finished the extrication process and had the passenger removed at 2050, and the driver at 2056. Both were TOT EMS for transport to KGH by B-64. The crew from E44-4 had already stabilized the truck, removed the windshield, and were working on removing the drivers side doors when R44 arrived to assist with its crew and tools. With the work of both crews the driver was able to be quickly extricated and TOT ALS & BLS at 2105. The driver was transported to KGH via A64 & KM-6. 44-22 placed the scene under control at 2115. A fourth pt, the driver of the green pick-up was taken to KGH also by B-43 with very minor injuries. While cleaning up the scene Sta. 44 was alerted for a second alarm, a building fire at 676 Black Diamond Rd., R44 & 44-2 made the response from the scene, along with L44, T44, & 44-10 from the station. All units were back in quarters at 2134. Units were in service for 1 hour and 3 minutes, and 52 members responded to assist. OIC was Lt. Torrie James(44-22). Units responding: E44-4, E44-2, R44, 44-10, 44-8, A&B64, KM6, KM7-B, DSP, T-4, & DelDot.
