Car Fire - Rt. 1 SB @ MM 72

At 1619 Sta. 44 units were dispatched for a car fire on Rt. 1 SB a/o MM 72. E44-4 responded within minutes under command of 2nd Asst. Chief Hankins, 44-17, shortly followed by R44 & 44-10. On arrival crews found a small 4 door car with the engine compartment fully involved, and fire in the dash area. Crews were able to quicky extinguish the fire, and all units were back in quarters at 1658. CHC units were in service for 39 minutes, and 2 Asst. Chief Isaac Hankins was OIC.
