Rollover with ejection ends in fatality - Rt.1 NB a/o Smyrna Leipsic Rd.

While members of the CHC were enjoying the annual membership picnic, Kent Center dispatched CHC units along with Amb. 64, Amb. 43, KM 5 & 6, and T-4 for a reported MVC with rollover and possible ejection. Eng. 27-2 was on stand-by at the station for the picnic and responded. E44-4 under command of 44-15(Coulbourne), R-44, 44-10, & 27-2 responded almost immediately. While units were en-route 44-17(Hankins) arrived on scene POV and reported 2 vehicle MVC with rollover and ejection, and one pt in trauma arrest. Upon arrival crews from 44-4 & 27-2 began pt care and assisted ALS and BLS with the P1. Other crews assisted in vehicle stabilization, pt care of the other 3 pts on scene until arrival of BLS units, and extensive clean-up. KM6 & A-64 transport the trauma arrest to KGH where she later succumbed to her injuries. B-64 & A-43 transported the other 3 pts to KGH with minor injuries. 44-15 placed the scene under control at 1725. Crews remained on scene and assisted DSP with clean-up and traffic. All units were in quarters at 1800. Chief Tate Coulbourne had command. Units were in service for 1 hour and 20 minutes. 44 members responded to assist. Units responding: E44-4, R44, 44-10, 27-2(stand-by crew), A & B 64, A-43, KM 5 & 6, DSP, and DelDot.
