Brush & Engine Assist 43 - Percheron Rd, Dover

At 1506, the CHC was dispatched to assist Station 43 (Cheswold) with a combine fire. Upon arrival, Command 43 (J. Dempsey) found a fully involved combine with exposure to a large field and wooded area. Windy conditions increased the chance for the fire to spread. Due to this, he requested an additional Brush and Engine. 44-0 made the response within minutes under the command of 44-17 (Jarrell), followed by 44-3 under the command of 44-19 (Rutledge). CHC units arrived and assist Station 43 with suppression and overhaul. The fire was contained to the combine and a minimal portion of the field.
