Passing of Past President/Life Member Donald L. Uhlendorff

The Citizens’ Hose Company No. 1 Inc. of Smyrna, Delaware sadly announces the death of Past President and Life Member Donald L. Uhlendorff. Donnie played an active role in our company throughout his tenure, serving in many capacities. On the administrative side, he served as President, Vice President, Director and Trustee. On the fire side, Donnie was a lieutenant and for several years, a fire policeman. In addition, he also served for many years as the company’s uniform chairman. It was hard to miss Donnie at any parade, as he carried our banner down many streets and through many towns. It was rare for Donnie to miss a parade or any function – he was extremely active. _________________ Donald L. “Donnie” Uhlendorff, age 65, of Smyrna, Delaware, passed away at Kent General Hospital on May 6, 2015.
